My name is Roland,
Among many things, I’m an entrepreneur
and designer with expertise in human-
centered product design (physical &
digital), branding, and advertising.
My current full-time bet is being the CEO
and Co-founder of Mexar – a startup that’s
flipping the script on climate adaptation for
people working under extreme heat.
Prior to Mexar, I founded and ran
The Kreative Zone, a major branding
and advertising agency in Africa, and
Tangenci, a digital-only studio.
Now, this is where I do an egregious act of

Every now and then, I go down a rabbit hole, obsessively searching for a stash of insights that will make my work better and inch me closer to the appeal of doing great work. Because I’m a sucker for frameworks & have a knack for spotting patterns, these rabbit holes often tend to be the real plug.
